The Institute of Engineering & technology (IET) give guidance for the "recommended" frequencies for the initial inspection & test of most electrical installations, with 10 years for Domestic properties & 3 to 5 years recommended for most commercial & industrial type premises.However, consideration must be given other factors. A careful assessment of your installation and it’s use should be conducted to help determine the retest frequency.
